Ceremonial Opening of Y Community Water Projects in Mannar district was successfully held on the 23rd of January 2022. The projects were carried out at 10 locations in this district mainly at Buddhist temples, Christian churches, MOH office, Police Stations and in schools.

Joint Statement / Appeal

The 3rd wave of Covid-19 pandemic situation is really alarming and death rate in our country is increasing day by day. In addition the very high percentage of deaths among Muslims is a major cause for concern as a community. We, make this appeal to our brothers and sisters to continue to be more vigilant and act wisely, taking note of the rate and statistics of the Covid-19 related Janazas, as the situation is getting really bad on a daily basis. Considering the critical period of the pandemic, our Ulama, Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Masjid Trustees, Civil Society Leaders and Religious Bodies are kindly requested promote the following guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of the community and the country.
